HAUS Boston Chapter Sommerfest

Dear Alumni and Friends of Heidelberg University, dear HAUS members,

Heidelberg University is looking for former students, exchange students, professors, researchers and friends to build its American HAUS (Heidelberg Alumni U.S.). With the Kick-off meeting at the German Consulate in January, the Boston Regional Club was formally called into life.

We, the Boston Regional Chapter Chairs, would like to cordially invite you to a second get-together to meet other alumni and friends of Ruperto Carola, and to learn more about HAUS. In short, our mission is to build a community of former “Heidelbergers” and to offer networking opportunities for both former and future students with the long-term goal to establish scholarship and mentoring opportunities for the latter.

Please join us for a Sommerfest (BBQ) with our special guest

Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Ketterle,

Nobel laureate and former Heidelberger physicist,

on Sunday, June 6, 2010 at 2pm in Newton

The venue will be hosted by one of our HAUS members, within walking distance to the Green D Line to Riverside. Children are most welcome to attend. Food and drinks will be provided, we just ask you for a contribution to help us organize future HAUS events. The contribution will be $10 for HAUS members and $15 for non-members.

Please register at http://www.acteva.com/booking.cfm?bevaid=203432 no later than Monday, May 31st, since places are limited. Further details will be provided to registered guests after the May 31st deadline.

We are looking forward to seeing you all there! Your Boston Regional Chapter Chairs

Katrin Arnold, Eva-Jasmin Freyschmidt, Sabine Loewer, Silvia Spoerl
